Classroom routine
“Good Morning Class...”

“Let us pray first...”

(Checking of Attendance)

“So how’s your day? Is it good so far?”

“That’s good to know. So, are you ready to discuss our new topic today?’

A. Priming Activating Knowledge

Learning Task 1 – Motivation

(Show a picture of the Earth)

Class, what picture is on the board?

When you look at the earth from the outer space, what does it look like?

What do you think is the bluish color surface of the earth?

Very good!

Now class, how many percent of the earth’s surface is covered by water?

Very good!

As you look closer, what is the other color that you see?

What does the green color represent on earth’s surface?

Very good.

How many percent of earth’s covered with land?

Yes. Correct.

Is earth also covered with air?

What colors represent the air in this picture?

Correct. Very good!

B. Lesson Proper
Learning Task 2 - Activity

Now class, let us have picture puzzle. As you can see, I have here 3 envelopes. Inside it is the picture that you are going to form.

I will divide you into three groups. I will give you 5 minutes to do that.

Learning Task 3 – Analysis
Guide Questions:
1.    Describe the pictures.
2.    Do you want to live there? Why or why not?
3.    Who made this to our environment?
4.    What can we do to prevent pollution of the land, water and air?
(Present the graphic organizer and let the pupils answer with their own ideas first.)

Very good! Atleast you have an idea on how to prevent pollution in our land, water and air.
Now let’s fill in some ways to prevent or control the pollution.
A List of Things You Can Do
Every action or inaction of any person has an effect on the environment—be it good, neutral, or negative. By becoming aware and doing the right thing, we choose to be part of the solution. Here are some things you can do:
Group 1 can you read the first sentence?

Next group 2?
Yes, we should not dispose our waste using fire especially plastic.
Group 3 can you read the next.
Yes we should practice it, actually in our barangay; the one who is collecting our waste is very strict when it comes to segregating our waste.
Back to group 1
What are the materials that can be recycled?
Next group 2
Yes it is very helpful not just for our soil but also for us humans because we use that soil to plant vegetables in our garden.

Can you read the next sentence group 3?
By simple buying the local foods and goods help us to prevent pollution.
Please continue to read group 3.
Yes it very simple yet very important, instead using of shower, we can use “tabo” to conserve water.
Kindly group 1 read the next sentence.
Yes, we can help the environment by using eco-friendly bags or just bringing a simple bag when you shop.
Please read the next sentence group 2.

And lastly please read group 3?
Yes, let me see if you’re doing it right now?
(Searching for trash under their desk and table)
Very good! Those are some of the ways of preventing pollution in land, water and air.

Is it important to conserve and protect our environment? Why? Or why not?

LearningTask4 – Abstraction/Generalization
Do you have any questions or clarifications?
Again class, what are the ways of preventing the pollution?

Is it important that we should take good care of our environment? Why or why not?

Learning Task 5 – Application
Now class, let us have picture puzzle again. Inside it is the picture that you are going to form then check if it is good and put an X if it is not then explain how you will help the environment to prevent it to happen.

I will divide you into two groups. Each group will have two envelopes to form.
I will give you 5 minutes to do that.
