Are you
ready class?
Group
1, what is your guess?
Let’s
see if you got it right!
A Euro
or Continental pillow--a large square pillow that sits back against the
headboard. The cover is removable for washing. Sometimes it is use as a
support in your back while reading.
It’s
very common in our houses!
Group 2
what do you think is this?
A
sleeping pillow is the rectangular pillow that you lay your head on when
sleeping. Sleeping pillows have three sizes --standard, queen, or king--to
fit your bed or sleeping habits.
Next
group 3 what is this?
A
decorative pillow, also referred to as an accent
or throw pillow, is a small pillow that comes
in many shapes, sizes and colors to add decoration to a bed. This is usually
seen in the living room.
How
about this group 1? This is very common?
A
bolster pillow is a tubular pillow used for lumbar support while sitting up
to read in bed, but more often, it’s used as a decorative pillow or accent
pillow. These pillows range in size from very small to spanning the entire
width of the bed.
Ok,
group 2, what do you think is this? This is very common!
A
pillowcase is used to cover a sleeping pillow, and sometimes decorative or
bolster pillows. It’s normally a rectangular shape with an opening on one end
where you insert the pillow. Change your pillowcase at least twice per week
to protect your facial skin from breakouts or skin irritation.
How
about in your house do you regularly change your pillowcase?
Ok very
good! Thank you for sharing your experience!
Group 3
do you have this in your house? What do you think is this?
A
pillow sham is similar to a pillowcase but it does not open on one side.
Instead, it has a flange, which is an extra piece of fabric that extends from
where the pillow sham is sewn on each edge. Pillow shams are often more
decorative than pillowcases and more likely to have elaborate embellishes.
Which
is more beautiful? Pillowcases or pillow sham?
Now
that you understand the different types of pillows, it will be much easier to
design the bed of your dreams: the perfect spot to sleep and restore your
energies each night.
And
now, I’m going to teach you the different ways of putting the pillow inside
the pillowcase. Are you ready?
The
following are the steps in preparing the pillows:
Procedure
# 1
1. Turn
your pillowcase inside out.
2. Grab
the end or your pillow in the same fist that holds the pillowcase seam. The seam of the case you are holding
and the seam of the pillow end will now be in the same hand.
4. Peel
the pillowcase down over the pillow. Keep
pulling, line up the side seams, and you're done.
Procedure
# 2
1. Turn
your pillowcase inside out and line it with the corners.
2.
Then, put your both hands inside the pillowcase and hold both corners of the
pillow
3. Flip
in the pillowcase into the pillow.
4.
Then, dress it until the entire pillow is inside the pillowcase.
Procedure
# 3
Using
one hand
1. Turn
your pillowcase inside out and line it with the corners.
2.
Place the case flat on to the pillow, lining up the corners.
3. Open
the front case, place one knee onto the pillow, holding the case down on to
the pillow
4. Put
your hand unto the pillowcase, starting with the right side, hold onto the
case and the pillow and pull it towards you.
5.
Keeping your hand behind that corner, hold onto the left corner of the pillow
and case and pull it towards you.
D. Abstraction/ Generalization
Now
that you have the knowledge of the different types of pillows we can use. Can
you give me the different types of these pillows?
_______,

In your
own opinion, does these different pillows are important? Why do you say so?
